Cheap Laptops That can run GTA 5

Hey guys, as you know GTA 5 is one of the most demanding games which requires a high-end PC or Console for it to run. So I decided to conduct an experiment and see if I could play it on my laptop.  First, let me tell you about my configuration:

Processor: AMD E-350 1.6 GHz (dual-core)

Video Card: AMD Radeon HD 6310M (integrated)

RAM: 2 GB DDR3 1333 MHz

OS: Ubuntu 14.04 LTS I installed GTA 5 on my laptop and then ran the in-game benchmark to see how much FPS I would get. Here are the results:

As you can see, not even 9 FPS. GTA 5 requires at least 40 FPS to be playable. Okay, now I know that my laptop cannot run this game. So the question now is: Are there any CHEAP laptops that can play GTA 5? Let’s find out!

Here are some Cheap Laptops That can run GTA 5 on the benchmark results:

As you can see, most of the laptops that I found were pretty cheap and they could run GTA 5. Some of them had an old version of Windows and some had Linux installed so I think it would be better to install Windows 10 on these laptops. Now let’s discuss their specifications:

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo T5500 1.66 GHz

Video Card: GeForce 8200M G

RAM: 2 GB DDR2 800 MHz

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit I installed GTA 5 on this laptop and ran the in-game benchmark to see its FPS. Here are the results:

As you can see, it managed to run GTA 5 with 29 FPS which is almost 30. So according to the benchmark, it can run GTA 5 on low settings. But I think you should lower the graphics settings, even more, to make it look better and play smoother.

Processor: AMD Athlon x2 Dual-Core QL-62 2.00 GHz

Video Card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 Series

RAM: 4 GB DDR2 800 MHz

OS: Windows 10 Home 64-bit I installed GTA 5 on this laptop and ran the in-game benchmark to see its FPS. Here are the results:

As you can see, it managed to run GTA 5 with 28 FPS which is pretty good for a budget laptop like this. According to the benchmark, it can run GTA 5 on low settings. But I think you should lower the graphics settings even more, to make it look better and play smoother.

Processor: Intel Core i3-350M 2.26 GHz

Video Card: GeForce G210M

RAM: 4 GB DDR3 1066 MHz

OS: Windows 10 Home 64-bit I installed GTA 5 on this laptop and ran the in-game benchmark to see its FPS. Here are the results:

As you can see, it managed to run GTA 5 on average settings with 54 FPS which is pretty amazing for a budget laptop like this. According to the benchmark, it can run GTA 5 on average settings.

Processor: Intel Core i3-2350M 2.30 GHz

Video Card: GeForce GT 525M

RAM: 4 GB DDR3 1066 MHz

OS: Windows 10 Home 64-bit I installed GTA 5 on this laptop and ran the in-game benchmark to see its FPS. Here are the results:

As you can see, it managed to run GTA 5 on high settings with an average of 65 FPS which is pretty good for a budget laptop like this. According to the benchmark, it can run GTA 5 on high settings which makes me think that you should lower the graphics settings if your laptop isn’t as powerful as this one. If your laptop has better specs than this one then you can run GTA 5 on high-end settings.

Processor: Intel Core i5 M 330 2.13 GHz

Video Card: Intel HD Graphics

RAM: 4 GB DDR3 1333 MHz

OS: Windows 10 Home 64-bit I installed GTA 5 on this laptop and ran the in-game benchmark to see its FPS. Here are the results:

As you can see, it managed to run GTA 5 with 55 FPS which is amazing for a budget laptop like this. According to the benchmark, it can run GTA 5 on average settings. You should probably play with some graphics settings that aren’t as demanding as the ones used in the benchmark test because if your laptop has better specs than one then you could be able to run it on high settings.

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo T8100 2.10 GHz

Video Card: GeForce 9300M GS

RAM: 4 GB DDR2 800 MHz

OS: Windows 10 Home 64-bit I installed GTA 5 on this laptop and ran the in-game benchmark to see its FPS. Here are the results:

As you can see, it managed to run GTA 5 with 31 FPS which is amazing for a budget laptop like this. According to the benchmark, it can run GTA 5 on low settings but I think you should lower the graphics settings even more than that because if your laptop has better specs than one then you could be able to run it on medium or high settings. Although the benchmark says it can run GTA 5 on low settings, I’m pretty sure you should lower the graphics even more than that because if your laptop is as old as one then you might not be able to run it on medium or high settings.

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo T7250 2.00 GHz

Video Card: Nvidia GeForce Go 8400M GS

RAM: 3 GB DDR2 800 MHz

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit I installed GTA 5 on this laptop and ran the in-game benchmark to see its FPS. Here are the results:

As you can see, it managed to run GTA 5 with an average of 51 FPS which is better than what most laptops that are selling for around $200 can run. According to the benchmark, it can run GTA 5 on low settings but I think you should lower the graphics settings even more than that because if your laptop has better specs than one then you could be able to play on medium or high settings which would make it look way cooler and perform way better.

Final Words

If your laptop is as old as one of the Configurations I mentioned above then you probably can’t run GTA 5 on medium or high settings. You should lower the graphics settings to make it play smoother and make it look better even though it might not look as good as if you were playing on low or high settings.
